Starting December 31, 2024, Google will discontinue Google Jamboard. We understand many of you have relied on Jamboard for interactive lessons and collaborative activities, so we want to ensure a smooth transition to alternative tools.
Here are instructions on how to export your jams.
Below are some recommended alternatives that you have access to as a member of the Arcadia community:
1. Lucid (Whiteboard)
- Lucid (Whiteboard) is now integrated into all Canvas courses.
Here is a Getting Started Guide. - Lucid has two options:
- Lucidspark - Digital Whiteboard
- Lucidchart - Diagramming and flowcharts
- This is a flexible online whiteboard design for assignments, group collaboration, especially for planning and idea generation, and integrated with Speedgrader.
- It has intuitive tools for voting, commenting, and organizing ideas in real-time.

- Allows students to participate in one document as a group
- Create a Lucid Assignment in Canvas
- Creates a copy of a Lucid document for each individual student and is compatible with SpeedGrader.

2. Zoom Whiteboard
- Built into Zoom for real-time interaction during online classes.
- Simple, quick whiteboard-style annotations during lectures and discussions.
- Whiteboards can be shared in and out of the meeting. Share from the Zoom Whiteboard dashboard or from within the meeting whiteboard and you can set user permissions.
