How to Find Your MAC Address
Follow the steps below to find the MAC (hardware) address for your device. Jump to your device type:
- Xbox
- PlayStation
- Wii U
- Xbox 360
- Amazon Echo
- Google Home
- Internet Enabled TV
- Video Device (Apple TV, Roku, etc.)
Xbox
- Turn on your console with no disc in the tray.
- When the user interface appears, select Settings.
- On the Settings screen, select Network.
- On the Network screen, the MAC address information is located on the right side of the screen. Note the MAC address or take a screenshot.
PlayStation
- On the Main Menu, scroll to the Settings tab.
- Scroll down and select Network.
- Select View Connection Status.
- Toward the bottom of this screen, the MAC address is listed for both Wi-Fi and Ethernet. Note the MAC address or take a screenshot.
Wii U
- On the Wii U Main Menu, select System Settings.
- Select Internet.
- Select View MAC Address. Note the MAC address or take a screenshot.
Xbox 360
- Go to the System area of the Xbox Dashboard.
- Select Network Settings.
- Select Edit Settings.
- Select Additional Settings.
- Select Advanced Settings.
- Select Wireless Information. Your MAC address will be listed on this screen. Note the MAC address or take a screenshot.
Amazon Echo
- In the Alexa app, open the left navigation panel and select Settings.
- Select your device and then select Update Wi-Fi. If you're adding a new device to your account, select Set up a new device instead.
- On your Echo device, press and hold the Action button until the light ring changes to orange. Your mobile device will then connect to your Echo device.
- Select any Wi-Fi network and scroll down until you see the MAC address. Note the MAC address or take a screenshot.
Google Home
- Connect your Google Home using Bluetooth.
- Once connected, begin the process to connect to Wi-Fi.
- Pick the room you are setting up the Google Home in.
- On the screen that says Connect to Wi-Fi, tap the three vertical dots at the top-right corner and select Show MAC Address. Note the MAC address or take a screenshot.
Internet Enabled TV
Due to the large number of internet enabled TVs, please refer to your TV's manual, the manufacturer's website, and/or search online for instructions on how to locate your brand/model's MAC address.
Video Device (Apple TV, Roku, etc.)
Due to the large number of video streaming devices, please refer to your device's manual, the manufacturer's website, and/or search online for instructions on how to locate your brand/model's MAC address.
