Historically, Arcadia University Information Technology department has purchased and maintained some Apple iPads for loan and usage for the Community. In the last several years, prices of these devices have risen over 30%. Due to austerity measures, we will be diverting our budget and focus to primary computing devices such as laptops and desktops.
If you have received an iPad as a loaner from the IT Department, please return it at your convenience.
If your department purchased an iPad, these devices can continue to be used until they reach end of life. IT will no longer be providing support for them. When an iPad reaches its end of life date, please deliver to IT department for responsible recycling https://endoflife.date/ipad
Going forward, if departments would like to purchase this type of device, IT can still leverage our purchasing and vendor agreements, please submit a helpdesk ticket so we may provide purchasing consultation.
